42nd Annual Coastal Cleanup Day

In September, Clear was delighted to participate in the 42nd annual Coastal Cleanup Day, California’s largest volunteer event focused on removing trash and plastic pollution from beaches, creeks, and inland waterways.

This year, the Clear team gathered at Shoreline Park on the Mesa in Santa Barbara to lead the cleanup there in partnership with Explore Ecology. A local nonprofit, Explore Ecology is dedicated to inspiring the community to care for the planet through environmental education, creative reuse, and hands-on learning.

Of the event, Explore Ecology reported that more than 1,055 volunteers cleaned up 83 miles across Santa Barbara County, ultimately clearing 5,652 pounds of litter from local beaches, parks, creeks, and the Santa Ynez River.
